Using "push-pull" strategy to drive growth

Vuepoint provides online systems to help improve sales-force effectiveness, but the company needed a sales boost of its own. Padilla Speer Beardsley designed an integrated "push-pull" communications strategy that quickly helped Vuepoint grow its share of the competitive e-learning market.

"Push" focused on all outbound PR activities — including publicity (byline articles, case studies, thought leadership)— to elevate Vuepoint's position in the marketplace. Based on extensive research, Padilla also created a micro-Website ("pull"), designed to attract Internet users searching with generic terms such as "learning management systems" or "e-learning."

Vuepoint's sales leads grew from one or two a month to more than 20 qualified leads in the first month of the microsite. That number grew to more than 70 in the following months.
