Padilla Speer Beardsley Takes Home Five at Public Relations Society of America's National Awards Event
MINNEAPOLIS - (June 19, 2007) - Padilla Speer Beardsley , an employee-owned, multi-specialty pr & marketing communications firm with headquarters in Minneapolis and NYC, won the prestigious Silver Anvil at the Public Relations Society of America's Silver Anvil Awards Evening June 14 in New York City.
The firm received the 2007 Silver Anvil Award in the public service category for its work with the Itasca Project, a group of business and civic leaders in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area dedicated to maintaining the region's economic competitiveness and quality of life. The firm's "Close the Gap" awareness campaign for the Itasca Project was conducted pro bono in 2005 and 2006.
Padilla also won a Silver Anvil Award of Excellence in the health care services category for its work with St. Louis-based Express Scripts to increase the awareness and usage of generic medications. Additionally, the firm received a Bronze Anvil, awarded to the best component of a public relations program, in the media relations category for its work with the Minneapolis-based TCF Holidazzle Parade; and two Bronze Anvil Awards of Commendation for its work with Raleigh-based BASF and Milwaukee-based Rockwell Automation.
